Stage 7 - The fat lady has sang her song, and a beautiful song it was!

Ladies and gentlemen, that's all we have for you!

Stage 7 was absolutely incredible!! A tough day out with 2000m climbing awaited us this morning, but we got off to another great start and enjoyed the stage to the maximum, the climbs up to the du toit's kloof pass was a really cool one with a gorgeous view of Paarl and the surrounds. 

From there is was relatively easy riding with a few rollers to keep us busy as we counted down the kilometers to the finish. 

For the first time this epic, we heard the helicopter over head, and saw the motorbikes, but heard no "Elite ladies" comment, and we could ride our own race, which was great!

The finish seemed to drag it's feet as we entered Val De Vie and had to loop around the premesis to make it back to the polo fields we had been looking forward to all week. 

To say the finish of the Epic is emotional is one massive understatement, I definitely had to hold back a tear or two as we rolled onto the soft grass, shook hands and finished what can only be described as an incredible week!
