Stage 6 - Trail heaven!

Stage 6 was said to be the fun day of this year's epic and it was indeed!!!

Bang out the gate, the first 20 odd km was a flat out roll towards the trails of Welvanpas, once we hit the first singletrack and got our eyes into the trail, we were having nothing but a jol!! 

After rolling through waterpoint 2, topping up on some red ambulance and a handfull of date balls, we hit the green mamba climb, that went straight up into the heavy clouds and into the green flowing trails known as the "Rollercoaster" which was 2.5km of absolute bliss! 

We then pinned it into the Landrover technical terrain called cheesegrater, which was wild and very hard on the hands, but lekker non the less.

Once we hit the open roads, with 10km to go, we were about 5 teams bunched together and managed to ride at a great pace towards the finish, where we all safely finished and had a lekker lunch!
