Battle Royale - Queen stage done and dusted!
Today was going to be super hard, no two ways about it! The route profile showed a flat profile, but the guys in the start shoot said it was a deceptively hard day in the sand, and that it was indeed! We started off in the beach sand, into the rocks and onto some of the best singletrack the area of Worcester has to offer!
We met up with our good mates, Andrew and G man, spoke some nonsense and hit the trails behind Goudini Spa, where we had been staying the night before.
Today was such a proper mountain bike stage, we hiked a bike, smashed it down awesome single-track and had the chance to look at some of this incredible scenery in the Western Cape. Distance wise in our minds, the stage ended virtually at WP3, when we were able to hit the tar and settle into a rhythm up Bains Kloof, before heading into the amazing trails of Welvanpas!
Any stage can end of these trails and I'll absolutely love it!
We are very excited for the time trail tomorrow and looking forward to plenty more trail shredding!
